Multiagency Emotional Health Triage

For parents, guardians, GPs, teachers and other professionals with concerns about a young person's emotional health

This page is intended for parents, guardians and professionals.  If you're under 19 and need support with your emotional health, get in touch with us online.

If your concerns are serious, urgent or complex in nature, contact the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

The Emotional Health Academy coordinates Multiagency Emotional Health Triage on behalf of West Berkshire and in partnership with key public and voluntary sector services. Triage is West Berkshire's single point of entry for children and young people, aged 0 to 19, with emerging emotional health difficulties.

Triage involves a panel of experienced professionals whom meet each week to discuss a child or young person's needs and decide which service could provide the right support. The panel considers a wide range of support options and checks in with families after six weeks to make sure that the recommended support has been helpful. Triage has supported over 500 children, young people and their families access the right support in its first 12 months of operation.
