Emotional Health Academy - School Offer

How the EHA can help West Berkshire schools

The EHA is funded by schools, West Berkshire Council, and other agencies including Clinical Commissioning Groups and Public Health and Wellbeing.

The EHA's immediate impact would not have been possible without investment from our local schools.

Schools can continue to be a part of this innovative and exciting vision that is changing the way we work with children and young people in West Berkshire. We are offering a range of flexible buy-in options that will allow schools to receive a greater resource than their contribution alone could buy. This includes set annual packages, bespoke services, and packages that school clusters can buy into together.

A quote from a local Headteacher regarding the EHA.

"We have been very impressed by the EHA offer. The staff we have worked with have been highly skilled, effective and professional. For us, the main benefits have been:

  • an additional and higher level element to our established ELSA systems
  • professional development opportunities for teachers and support staff
  • excellent resources
  • positive engagement with parents
  • a clearly identifiable and positive impact on the children being supported

"It is our intention to work very hard to build additional funding into our budget next year in order to buy more EHA time. That statement, in such challenging financial times, probably says more than anything about how highly we rate both the concept and delivery."
